ISD Challenge Ship Report

Intro:

9 May 2006

For all of those who does not like fiction-like reports, don't read this part.

*Escort Shuttle entered Challenges hangar. Two escorting fighters from Thunder squadron made two more runs around ISD's majestic hull and docked as well.
Shuttle's door opened, and 6 Stormtroopers emerged, after them, one officer of imperial navy carried black case handcuffed to his wrist. They walked past long corridor until they approached turbolift. After few seconds they entered Commodore's office.
- I've brought medals you've requested from operations office. - Said officer.
- Good. We've been waiting impatiently. Why it took you so long? - asked Granite
- Bureaucracy. It's all bureaucrats fault. I heard your requests were lost in piles of papers on XO's desk. It's hard time to our office, when we have no commanding officer. -replied man with the case.
- I'm starting to be afraid, when requests i sent them 3 days ago are going to be carried out... - said Commodore.

Two hours later.
Wing X pilots were standing in a row in their best dress uniforms, most of them with chests covered with number of medals. Granite and Daniel Bonini were standing in front of them, and beside flags were desk covered with shining medals. Granite asked first pilot to approach:
- Commander Thomas Nitecki, i herby award you with Imperial Security medal for recruiting new member to wing X
- Lieutenant Colonel Dirty Vader, i herby award you with Iron Star with Silver Wings, for shooting most pirate fighters during our last raid, and Medal of Communication with bronze oak cluster, for your help with making holonet better place to use.
- Captain Alexi Stukov, I herby award you with Iron Star with Bronze Wings for destroying pirate freighter and some fighters in last raid, and Medal of Communication with bronze oak cluster for keeping constant level on communiccation on our holonet channel.
- Commander Great Griffin, I herby award you with Iron Star with Bronze Ribbon for boosting Inferno Squadrons morale.
- Lieutenant Colonel Azurin Luna, I herby award you with Medal of Communications with bronze oak cluster for your help in establishing Challenge holonet channel.
- Colonel Mosh, I herby award you with Medal of Communication for your effort to keep holonet going.
- Lieutenant Oskar Holtz, I herby award you with Medal of Communication with bronze oak cluster for constant activity on holonet.
- Commander Murleen, I herby award you with Medal of Communication with bronze oak cluster for your activity on holonet.
- Captain Diaboli, I herby award you with Medal of Communication with bronze oak cluster for activity on holonet.
- Sub-Lieutenant Axir Aronix, you are promoted to full Lieutenant and FLight leader of Flight three of Cyclone Squad. I would like also to thank you, for creating new datapad for me.
- Lieutenant John T Clark, You are promoted to flight leader of flight two of Omicron squadron.
Congratulations to all of you

After the ceremony, granite got back to his office, to review some papers that were piled on his desk.
He took first one, green paper, from training office.
- Two IWATS courses passed. LT Axir and CM Great Griffin... Not bad - he thought. But there was another green sheet of paper.
- Let's see what is it. Hmmm... Two new proffesors, Wolf Blacker and Thomas Nitecki. Great news. I got to buy them some drinks.
He left his office and went to cantina.

5 minutes later.
There was party in cantina. "There always is" -thought Granite, but this time there was reason to it. Banner was hanging below ceiling: "Good bye John Edwards"
He was to leave Challenge and go to Frigate Phoenix. And then, probably to continue his life as civilian. But he will be always part of Challenge.*
