ISD Challenge Weekly Report #10
ISD Challenge Weekly Report #10 –
18th of December 2006 |
|
Introduction |
Hello there,
Not much happened inside the ship this week, besides MAJ Diaboli, LT
Zosite and LT Thorper flying like hell, and some IWATS courses being
taken. Diaboli is in the highlights, though, for filling our mail
boxes with BSF approvals. He is fighting for the Ace of the TIE
Corps title of the year of 2006, and right now he is in advantage....hope
he can manage to win, and bring yet another trophy to the Challenge,
on this already glorious year!!
CA:FO has been chosen...congrats to VA Jarek La’an, who left the
Redemption to join the Command Staff once again. And also congrats
to MAJ Czulvang Lah, who has been appointed as the new Wing XIX
Commander.
Diaboli has hit the news page again, by making a donation for the
maintenance of the TIE Corps, by means of server upgrades. This is
most appreciated, as the Fleet Commander has many costs to keep us
up and running. Nice gesture, Diaboli, again...
One of the most important news this week, or maybe this month, was
the decision of the Tactical Office to add to the EH Cheating Policy
that using old pilot files to submit for a new competition s
considered cheating. Pilots are recommended to keep their pilot
files “just in case”, but no one is allowed to use their old pilot
files for new submissions. Keep this in mind...if a new comp has
released with a mission you have already flown, fly it again...
This practice has been used by the Challenge to ensure the victory
in the TCBG Escort Squadron/Flagship competition, but then it was
not considered cheating, and plus, the competition’s rules
specifically mentioned that it would be allowed to submit old pilot
files and BSFs. I doubt that will ever happen again, though, with
this new rule being applied....meaning, next time you will have to
fly it all over again, you maniacs ;)
TIE Golf results were released, and sadly, it was not a Challenge
pilot who took first place. Congratulations to CM Dave Darklighter
for taking first place, and also congrats to me, CM Saul Rostek and
MAJ Diaboli for participating in this very fun competition.
The Command Staff has decided to close down the ISD Vanguard. This
is a terrible loss for the TCBG, as it is now a three ship Battle
Group. The remaining Vanguard pilots will be transferred to the
Subjugator in the reopening of Krayt Squadron. Go fly XWA-TC 40 to
celebrate Krayt Squadron reopening...

Master's Monthly Map Mayhem
Start Date:
10/1/2006
Parties Involved: EH-wide
Medals: IS-GR, IS-SR, IS-BR (or subgroup equivalent) each month.
According to the System Manual (http://sysman.emperorshammer.net/)
the EH is in control of ten systems.
Each month Master is going to pick a planet from one of the EH
Controlled Systems* from the manual. Those interested will then have
the remainder of the month to create a Empire at War or SW Galactic
Battlegrounds or Jedi Academy map based on that planet.
*Master may throw in the odd other planet
from SW from time to time with more bonuses.
Designers are free to do as they like with the map provided basics
stay true to the System Manual information.
Maps will be judged on: Technical realization (use wat u got),
general plotline & general enjoyment.
All maps should be submitted ala standard TACcy Rules and via the
Custom BSF (http://tac.emperorshammer.net/tacdb/batsubmit.asp)
All maps will be judged by TAC.
* Ace of the Tie
Corps
Starting this month, we now have a
new monthly competition series - Ace of the TIE Corps. The concept
is simple - the pilot with the most flown missions at the end of
each month will recieve an Iron Star with Gold Wings and the title
"Ace of the Month". You will be able to see the progress of pilots
over time by checking the
Pilot Kill Board. At the end
of the year, the pilot with the most missions flown will recieve an
Iron Star with Platinum Wings and the title of "Ace of the TIE
Corps".
The competition is open to all members of the TIE Corps and the
counts are based on missions.
* Imperial Alliance
Propoganda Festival
Submit
content to help promote Imperial Alliance. This can include banners,
slogans, etc. The best entry each week will get an IS-GR. The best
entry overall will be selected when Imperial Alliance is released
and will be awarded an IS-PR. Email entries to
propoganda@ehtiecorps.org.
Competition will run through January 30th, 2007.
* Quote of the Week
competition
Got some
funny IRC quotes? Send them in! Top 3 submissions per week earn an
IS-BR; top 3 submissions per month earn an IS-SR; IS-PR to the
yearly winner, IS-GR to second best yearly submission, and a IS-SR
to the third best yearly submissions. Email the quotes to FA Joe (Noon001@aol.com).
Only rules are they must have been said within the last 2 weeks (no
old, archived quotes) and you can't send in quotes of things that
you have said. Must be amusing things others have said. Competition
will run through January 21st, 2007.
* Wing X Pilot of
the Week/Month 2
Each week the
Wing X Commander will choose a pilot he believes has performed
better then any other pilot on the ship that week. At the end of the
month, Challenge Commodore will look at the overall performance of
every Pilot of the Week for that month, and will choose one of them
to become the Pilot of the Month. Each Pilot of the Week will be
awarded an IS-BR and each Pilot of the Month will be awarded an
IS-SR. The Wing X Pilot of the week will always be chosen in the
Wing Commander’s report.
|
Dark Lord of the
Week |
The highly
prestigious title of Dark Lord of the Week is only given to the
person who has most advanced the success of the Wing, amused the
Wing Commander, or slipped me the most $5 notes in a brown paper
bag. This week's winner is:
MAJ Diaboli,
for flying over 50
Free-Missions
|
Ewok of the Week |
Yub Yub!
Every story has a
hero, every journey has a first step, every Fleet has a pilot who's
about as much use as an ashtray on a speeder bike. This weeks's
Prize Ewok is none other than:
P, for dying...
|
Quote of the Week |
Talons: “On second
thought, school just plain kills. Period.”
Boy, I’ll say...
