ISD Challenge Weekly Report #26 –
09th of April 2007
Introduction
Greetings,
Most important news in the ship this week is definitely that Inferno
Squadron has a new Commander, as COL Flint Darkstar has taken
command. We wish him luck in his new job, and that he achieves great
things with Inferno!
The shuttle departing to Modified Frigate Phoenix has deprived us of
a great pilot this week. Former Commander of Typhoon Squadron, CM
Rondo, has already left us. Also, this same shuttle, on its next
trip, will also take another great pilot away from us, and it will
be CM Garrett Hap’kette leaving. We wish both of them happiness in
their retirement, and hope that this retirement does not last
forever, as we all know that unbearable feeling of “must go back to
killing rebels” finally gets to them again ;)
The good news is that on its next trip, the same shuttle will be
possibly bringing back an old friend, to rejoin Typhoon Squadron.
Stay tuned ;)
Negotiations regarding the competition against the Calamari Cruiser
Redemption are still going on, but almost getting to a conclusion.
You will have more news about this in the coming week....again, stay
tuned, stay sharp, and prepare to fly like hell!
The Monthly Wing Evaluation has already been forwarded and processed,
and we are expecting medals to be awarded soon....looks like it’s
going to be a nice week this one ;)
COL Darklord has returned from his leave. Unfortunately, he is
confined to his quarters for the time being, due to massive
drunkness and a possible alcoholic coma. He should be back on his
feet in no time, and meanwhile we can prepare a nice drink for him,
to celebrate his return, and to get him out of the coma with style
:D
I’m also glad to state that one of the Challenge’s open Flight
Leader positions has been filled. That is Thunder’s Flight 2, and
the new Flight Leader is Lieutenant Sergeyli, who has been doing an
incredible job since joining the fleet, and deserves his first
command position. He has also been nominated the Thunder Commander’s
XO. Congrats, Sergeyli!!
But there are still several FL positions open for applications, and
there will be one more in Tornado, after Garrett’s transfer go
through. Currently, open positions are: Typhoon Flight 3; Inferno
Flight 2; Tornado Flight 3; and Omicron Flight 3. I’ve said before
that theses positions are of great importance, and they are to be
filled with good active officers. Contact the Squadron Commanders if
you are interested in one of these positions!
Since it slipped me last week, I’ll post it this week the news that
the Emperor’s Hammer has achieved victory on the XWA Week of War.
Congratulations to all pilots who participated in such event,
especially to our LCM Zosite Konstyte Styles, and our former member,
now Praetorian LC Dirty Vader, for taking overall first place.
Zosite came in second.
Speaking of such pilot, who is on leave at the moment, by the way,
you might have noticed this week that our esteemed Lord of
Moonlightshadow has achieved.....AGAIN.....first place in both
Multiplayer and Singleplayer divisions of Ace of the TIE Corps, for
the month of March, and was awarded a few more medals to his already
large collection. Unfortunately, his medals have been stolen by his
evil Commander, and stolen again by evil Osk, who after a lot of
messing around is trying to sell them back to Zosite by a not so
much fair price...all of this very, very legal stuff....despite the
stealing....and the blackmailing....oh well...I miss the Empire :D

Praetorian and Omega feel the need to oil each other up and flext
their collective muscles - the rest of the fleet feels the need to
mock them. In the vein of the Banner Prank comp VA Jarek would like
you all to come up with the best gfx mocking either (or both) elite
squadrons. For hints see

dgm@ehdb.net, attachingsubmissions as a jpeg or similar format.
End date is 04/20/2007. IS-GR for 1st place, IS-SR for 2nd place,
IS-BRs for excellent entries.

* Competition – the
spice of life... MUHAHAHA.
A little friendly competition to liven up this very special report
(TAC Report #250). This will be AD Master’s twenty first TAC report,
in each of these reports at the top there’s is a movie/tv/game
quote.
The first three to email AD Master with all 21 correct answers will
win IS-GR, IS-SR & IS-BR (or subgroup equivalent).
The subject line of the email should read 'When TACcy Speaks...noone
listens' :P
And don't forget to include your ID Line.
Let the madness begin!
* Let’s get ready
to RUUUUUUUMBLE! Ahhhh January, the
only other time of year AD Master care about professional wrestling,
why? Cause its the Royal Rumble, and this year..it was goooooood.
So following his current trend of shameless
rip-off comps he’s starting a new comp! Start Date: 10th February 2007 End Date: 24th February 2007 (looks
like it was postponed...) Medals: IS-GW x3 (or subgroup
equivalent) Missions: Custom Missions Info: One FREE (each platform), one
winner (again each platform). The three winners (you can only win one
platform) will then have the opportunity to enter the 'Shameless
Wrestlemania competition' in April for an IS-PW. Currently he’s hoping to have three custom
missions of his done in time, but since he really hates making stuff
under pressure (comes out crap and lame) he’s not promising nothing.
Oh and don't worry, they will be beta checked
before you fly them
*
Master's Monthly Map & Mission Mayhem Start Date:
10/1/2006
Parties Involved: EH-wide
Medals: IS-GR, IS-SR, IS-BR (or subgroup equivalent) each month.
According to the System Manual (http://sysman.emperorshammer.net/)
the EH is in control of ten systems.
Each month Master is going to pick a planet from one of the EH
Controlled Systems* from the manual. Those interested will then have
the remainder of the month to create a Empire at War or SW Galactic
Battlegrounds or Jedi Academy map based on that planet. *Master may throw in the odd other planet
from SW from time to time with more bonuses.
Designers are free to do as they like with the map provided basics
stay true to the System Manual information.
Maps will be judged on: Technical realization (use wat u got),
general plotline & general enjoyment.
All maps should be submitted ala standard TACcy Rules and via the
Custom BSF (http://tac.emperorshammer.net/tacdb/batsubmit.asp)
All maps will be judged by TAC.
Additional M: AD Master has decided to change
the plot of his funkily named competition for the new year. He has added an additional M! Now the comp
also includes our flying platforms! So that means when he gives us a
planet each month you can base a TIE or even an XW free on that
planet! Awards remains as an IS-GR each month, and he has yet to
give away a single one Anyway.... February's World of the Moment
is.....Aurora Prime!!!
http://sysman.emperorshammer.net/aurora.php The fabulous EH homeworld provides, warm days,
cold nights, a Dark Jedi infested moon, three funky massive
platforms and the ever impressive New Imperial City....think of all
the fun you could have. MUHAHAHAHHAA!!!! Winning submission will be judged by AD Master
based on fun level, plotline and bribes! All submissions should go
through the Custom Battle Submission
Form as always, with a
MMMMM mentioned in the comments box.
* Ace of the Tie
Corps Starting this month, we now have a
new monthly competition series - Ace of the TIE Corps. The concept
is simple - the pilot with the most flown missions at the end of
each month will recieve an Iron Star with Gold Wings and the title
"Ace of the Month". You will be able to see the progress of pilots
over time by checking the
Pilot Kill Board. At the end
of the year, the pilot with the most missions flown will recieve an
Iron Star with Platinum Wings and the title of "Ace of the TIE
Corps".
The competition is open to all members of the TIE Corps and the
counts are based on missions.
* Frozen Doom
Competition The weekly
multiplayer combat calendar events are returning! Starting with the
Frozen Doom Competition!!! It will be held on Tuesdays from 1900 EST
to 2200 EST!
Host is GN Ric Taldrya! Matches take place in #EHCOO, COME
ONE COME ALL!
Having said that, DFCs will no longer be awarded for 24/7 LoCs. They
will only be awarded for winning combat calendar events. If you do
fly a 24/7 LoC match, e-mail the scores to coo@emperorshammer.org.
* Wing X Pilot of
the Week/Month 5 Each week the
Wing X Commander will choose a pilot he believes has performed
better then any other pilot on the ship that week. At the end of the
month, Challenge Commodore will look at the overall performance of
every Pilot of the Week for that month, and will choose one of them
to become the Pilot of the Month. Each Pilot of the Week will be
awarded an IS-BR and each Pilot of the Month will be awarded an
IS-SR. The Wing X Pilot of the week will always be chosen in the
Wing Commander’s report.
Dark Lord of the
Week
The highly
prestigious title of Dark Lord of the Week is only given to the
person who has most advanced the success of the Ship, amused the
Commodore, or slipped me the most $5 notes in a brown paper bag.
This week's winner is:
COL Flint Darkstar,
for taking
command of Inferno!!!
Ewok of the Week
Yub Yub!
Every story has a
hero, every journey has a first step, every Fleet has a pilot who's
about as much use as an ashtray on a speeder bike. This weeks's
Prize Ewok is none other than:
CMs Rondo and Garrett
Hap’kett, for leaving the best ship ever!!!
Quote of the Week
1 – Saul: “Sorry to
see you go, Hap. Good luck
out there, and always remember - make your peace, say your prayers,
but most of all remember to duck.”
hehehehehe
2 – Dempsey: “I have a
copy of the game to evaluate before buying, but never actually
played it, so never evaluated it and bought it.”
Oh, the logic :D
3 –
Sergeyli: “Thanks to you. I'll try to be good flight leader :)”
Oskar:
“Good? You want to be bad! The meanest, leather
clad, harley riding pimpin FL there is! :D”
4 –
Oskar: “Well done guys! Do I get an award for coming last? :D”
Darklord: “/me hands
Osk a toilet brush... you know what to do :P”
Oskar: “/me puts on
his fatigues and dons his blue cap
Oh well, back to being
the 'Deck Cleaner' again :P
Osk, Lord of the Mop”
:D
