Good evening all,
Well what a week it’s been on the Challenge… I don’t know about you
guys but I think I have lost track of all the comings, goings,
promotions, and everything else!
Let’s start at the beginning… I am sure I don’t have to remind
everybody the honour that has been bestowed on to our most esteemed
of Commodores, Daniel Bonini. He has now settled into his new job as
Flight Officer and TIE Corps Commander, and a shiny new uniform and
Admirals badge to go with it! We all wish him the very best of luck!
As a result of Dan’s move to the Flight Office I have, after 6 years
since my last tour of duty in this very position, assumed the rank
of Rear Admiral and Commodore of this fine ship. I hope I don’t let
you down, and will try my best to keep things going just as Dan did
before me!
I shall be keeping Dan’s popular report template (I hope you don’t
mind!), with a few minor alterations. However there’s a few things
that won’t be complete in my report yet, and will address these over
the next few weeks. The other thing I shall be sorting over the next
few weeks is the ISD Challenge website as I know there’s some links
that still don’t work following the transfer to the new domain. In
fact I shall download a copy and play around with it next week when
I have no internet connection (see below!)
I am now looking for a Wing X commander. I have emailed out my
requirements for the post. A pretty strict list, however it’s such
an important person you all deserve to have the right guy in the
post. I have had a couple of good applications already, but am still
accepting for a little while longer (a few days perhaps). Please
refer to my previous email and send applications to myself and AD
Daniel Bonini.
We have a new Inferno CMDR in the shape of CM Dempsey!
Congratulations Dempsey on being appointed to a role I know you will
do well at.
And fresh off the press we have another new CMDR… MAJ Elwood the
Brave takes over from Saul Rostek who has stepped down for personal
reasons. This is Woody’s 2nd tour as Typhoon CMDR… good
luck Woody!
Welcome back to CM Rondo, who rejoined Typhoon squadron from the
reserves… good to have you back with us, Rondo!
And finally I shall be taking a leave of absence as of Thursday
evening. I’m packing up my gear and moving home. First priority will
be to install an internet connection, however I’m not sure how long
this will take. I’m anticipating around a week, and will be
appointing an acting Wing Commander should a permanent person not be
in place by then. |
