ISD Challenge Weekly Report #12
ISD Challenge Weekly Report #12 –
1st of January 2007 |
|
Introduction |
Happy New Year!!!
So, 2006 has ended... A lot has happened this past year...it had its
moments, but all in all it was a good year. 2007 is promising to be
an excellent year, TIE Corps wise. I expect a lot of activity from
all of you in this new year, and that we can keep the Challenge in
the highest places of the TIE Corps.
Since Darklord is back, this report will only concern ship matters,
as usual. And I can tell you that nothing much has happened since
Christmas. So this will be kind of short.
Apparently, LC Dirty Vader has transferred to Praetorian Squadron
aboard DGN Lichtor V. This comes as a surprise to me, since I was
not notified of any invitations extended to LC Dirty Vader.
Nonetheless, we wish DV good luck in his new assignment...
I’d like to congratulate the pilots who have been flying these past
few days...you are an example to be followed.
There is a new set of Command Staff positions available that are
open for applications. They are: Security Officer, Operations
Officer, Recon Officer, Communications Officer, Combat Operations
Officer, Judge Advocate General and the Hammer’s Fist Prefect. If
you are interested in applying for any of these positions, apply to
SA Cyric and GA Astatine. They also ask to include what would you do
in the position, and what changes you would make if selected for the
job.
AD Master has updated a few battles. Check it out: XvT-DB 4; BoP-TC
22; XWA-TC 4; TIE-Free 257; and XvT-TC 90.
GN Ric Taldrya will be hosting the Frozen Doom Multiplayer
Competition. It will be held on Tuesdays, from 1900 to 2200 EST.
Matches will take place at #EHCOO on IRC.

Master's Monthly Map Mayhem
Start Date:
10/1/2006
Parties Involved: EH-wide
Medals: IS-GR, IS-SR, IS-BR (or subgroup equivalent) each month.
According to the System Manual (http://sysman.emperorshammer.net/)
the EH is in control of ten systems.
Each month Master is going to pick a planet from one of the EH
Controlled Systems* from the manual. Those interested will then have
the remainder of the month to create a Empire at War or SW Galactic
Battlegrounds or Jedi Academy map based on that planet.
*Master may throw in the odd other planet
from SW from time to time with more bonuses.
Designers are free to do as they like with the map provided basics
stay true to the System Manual information.
Maps will be judged on: Technical realization (use wat u got),
general plotline & general enjoyment.
All maps should be submitted ala standard TACcy Rules and via the
Custom BSF (http://tac.emperorshammer.net/tacdb/batsubmit.asp)
All maps will be judged by TAC.
* Ace of the Tie
Corps
Starting this month, we now have a
new monthly competition series - Ace of the TIE Corps. The concept
is simple - the pilot with the most flown missions at the end of
each month will recieve an Iron Star with Gold Wings and the title
"Ace of the Month". You will be able to see the progress of pilots
over time by checking the
Pilot Kill Board. At the end
of the year, the pilot with the most missions flown will recieve an
Iron Star with Platinum Wings and the title of "Ace of the TIE
Corps".
The competition is open to all members of the TIE Corps and the
counts are based on missions.
* Imperial Alliance
Propoganda Festival
Submit
content to help promote Imperial Alliance. This can include banners,
slogans, etc. The best entry each week will get an IS-GR. The best
entry overall will be selected when Imperial Alliance is released
and will be awarded an IS-PR. Email entries to
propoganda@ehtiecorps.org.
Competition will run through January 30th, 2007.
* Frozen Doom
Competition
The weekly
multiplayer combat calendar events are returning! Starting with the
Frozen Doom Competition!!! It will be held on Tuesdays from 1900 EST
to 2200 EST!
Host is GN Ric Taldrya! Matches take place in #EHCOO, COME
ONE COME ALL!
Having said that, DFCs will no longer be awarded for 24/7 LoCs. They
will only be awarded for winning combat calendar events. If you do
fly a 24/7 LoC match, e-mail the scores to
coo@emperorshammer.org.
* Quote of the Week
competition
Got some
funny IRC quotes? Send them in! Top 3 submissions per week earn an
IS-BR; top 3 submissions per month earn an IS-SR; IS-PR to the
yearly winner, IS-GR to second best yearly submission, and a IS-SR
to the third best yearly submissions. Email the quotes to FA Joe (Noon001@aol.com).
Only rules are they must have been said within the last 2 weeks (no
old, archived quotes) and you can't send in quotes of things that
you have said. Must be amusing things others have said. Competition
will run through January 21st, 2007.
* Wing X Pilot of
the Week/Month 3
Each week the
Wing X Commander will choose a pilot he believes has performed
better then any other pilot on the ship that week. At the end of the
month, Challenge Commodore will look at the overall performance of
every Pilot of the Week for that month, and will choose one of them
to become the Pilot of the Month. Each Pilot of the Week will be
awarded an IS-BR and each Pilot of the Month will be awarded an
IS-SR. The Wing X Pilot of the week will always be chosen in the
Wing Commander’s report.

Dark Lord of the
Week |
The highly
prestigious title of Dark Lord of the Week is only given to the
person who has most advanced the success of the Ship, amused the
Commodore, or slipped me the most $5 notes in a brown paper bag.
This week's winner is:
LT Zosite Konstyte
Styles, for
flying a little more ;)
|
Ewok of the Week |
Yub Yub!
Every story has a
hero, every journey has a first step, every Fleet has a pilot who's
about as much use as an ashtray on a speeder bike. This weeks's
Prize Ewok is none other than:
LT Destroyer, for
being MIA
|
Quote of the Week |
Zosite: “As you want,
Sir! But please, give orders for those poor showgirls to be carried
to Medical Modified Frigate Faith with me. I MUST present them the
appropiate apologies for the inconvenience, you know... :-D-----”
Osk: “/me takes a
shuttle for the Medical Frigate Faith armed with bouquetsof flowers
and get well cards for the showgirls ( and Zósite ; ) )
Party on the Medical Frigate! Wooo!”

Conclusion
|
And there ends another year. I’m sad to see that our numbers have
diminished a little, with a few pilots leaving in the past few weeks.
We will have to concentrate ourselves in recruiting this next month.
We’ll get back to that, let’s just wait for the whole mess of MSE/MWE
end, so we can start planning the future of the ISD Challenge.
Last year was great, this year will be greater!!
Have a good week (and CMDRs, get those MSEs in ;)
