Wing X WC Report #10 - January 30, '05
-===Intro===-
Victory is mine! Finally got my computer and internet and everything working! Which means you'll have to deal with me more than before (no more dialup, baby. Cable! :P). My sympathies.
-===Wing News===-
* My fiction comp (the Propaganda one), sadly has had no submissions. The deadline is tomorrow night! Any entry at this point virtually assures you of a medal. You should send something in so I don't have to be creative and make something up myself for the site. :P
* Attention to anyone with skills in graphic creation! Bubba ran his TCBG banner comp last week, but it only had one submission. He wants more if he's to award medals...so if you can make a snazzy BG banner, whip one up, and send it his way to get a shiny.
* For those who don't know, there's a TCCOM's Own comp out right now. Essentially, whichever Wing does best in the comp (mainly a flying one) will win the TCCOM's Own award. Full details, rules, etc., etc., are at http://sco.emperorshammer.net/casino/. It ends today I believe, so everyone who hasn't flown should do so! (Including me...doing it later today. :P)
* Cyric wants each Squadron to choose an official color for your squads. When you get one, email your choice to Stuart (he'd like the HTML color code for it too, if possible).
* Currently, there is one FL vacancy on the Challenge, Thunder 2-1. If you're interested, see the CMDR of said Squadron.
* If you've been doing activity like SWG or Freeworlds, make sure you let your CMDR's know!

* The "Off the Record" comp has been extended until the 7th of February.
* Congrats to TAC Frodo, COMM Joey C, SO Vlad, and IWCOM Hobbie who were all promoted to AD this week. Also, congrats to Tek Selkirk on his GS, and Pickled Yoda, Reinthaler, Girth, Drako, Aeishline, and Ace Hobbes on their CoE's.
* The EH won the Jan. '05 XvT WoW. Congrats to everyone who participated.

1. Off The Record! You are a journalist assigned the task of writing an article about the recent appointment of Ast to FC. The article has to be related to the event in some way. Submissions go to xo@emperorshammer.org, subject line of "Off the Record." Deadline is February 7th. If interested, I highly encourage you to take a look at the full details, at http://www.ehtiecorps.org/xo/comps/offtherecord.htm
2. Boss the COM around! An unofficial comp, but if you can get a total of 5 wing members to "sign" a "petition" to get Stuart to do a certain activity (IE, fly 10 battles, create a battle, make up 40 trivia questions, etc.), he'll do it!
3. Wing X Propaganda Comp! The Challenge site ( http://isdchallenge.tcbg.net/ ) has a link for "About," where prospective pilots can read the History of the Challenge. Currently, it's blank, with the filler text and graphic that was put up when the site was created. For this comp, you are to write a form of Propaganda to be put on this page. In under 500 words, write something that will convince prospective drunken Wing X-ers to join up! Winner will receive a IS-SR, and their piece will be used on the site. Runner up gets a IS-BR. Any questions, feel free to ask 'em. Submissions go to me at coranel@isdchallenge.tcbg.net, while CC'ing your CMDR. Comp runs all month long. Got till Jan. 31 to get them in!
4. New TCBG Banner comp. The TCBG has had the same banner for quite some time, and needs something new. Members of the TCBGs will have a week to create a new banner for the battlegroup. The winning banner will earn an IS-GR and be uploaded to the database.IS-GR to first place, IS-SR to second, IS-BR to third. Submissions go to Bubba, with a CC to your CMDR's.
