Introduction
|
|
First off, my apologies for not getting this out sooner; it's been slowly in the works since Sunday night and has somehow been delayed by constant holiday festivities/emergencies :P Either way, as the holidays approach, I'm just glad to see that things haven't come to a complete standstill here with some flying still coming in from a few of the squadrons and a rather festive IRC bunch. Just so you all know, I will be on leave from this Thursday (22nd) until Tuesday (27th) so I can spend time with the families and such as I run around Florida spreading holiday cheer :P I imagine this will be a time when most people are away as we all spend time taking a break for the holidays and getting ready to face a new year.

- This week the FO announced Wing X as TCCOM's Own for the month of November! Along with that, our own Cyclone Squadron was announced as TCCOM's Escort Squadron for the third time in a row!! This is quite a significant award that just further proves how much ahead Wing X is compared to the rest of the TC ;) I look forward to continuing this as we go into the new year :)
- Typhoon CMDR Prost will be on leave for a couple weeks while he settles into his new apartment with his girlfriend, where they will be LIVING IN SIN ;)
- Cor said that he was done with the TC when he resigned from WC, but he didn't even last a month in reserves :P He returns to Typhoon Squadron!
- Yesterday was the last day for Az's Wing X Christmas Prank competition, but she says she'll take submissions for today as well, so see if you can't get one out. Check out the details here!
- There's plenty of types of activity besides flying, but if you on't let your CMDR know it doesn't count! If you're doing Freeworlds, SWG or just plain IRC fun, make sure you keep your CMDR informed and contacted!

Well, the weather outside is... hot. I hate the winter in Florida :P But anyhow, as this year starts to close, I'm pretty excited about where we are as a ship, and where we can still go. Sure, our performance compared to the rest of the TC easily nails us TCCOM's Own, but it doesn't mean we can't put the rest of the place to even further shame :) Anyways, enjoy the holidays this week folks. You've certainly deserved a nice break :)
