Wing X Report #3
LC Daniel Bonini 3/20/2006
Wing X Weekly Report #3 – 20th of March 2006
Introduction
Hello, fellow Wing X’ers.
A lot has changed this week, as we all expected. Following the Tie Corps restructure, a lot of ships were close, some squadrons were closed as well, including Wing X’s Tempest Squadron, which will be very missed. Tempest pilots were placed in Tornado and Thunder Squadrons. In it’s place, we had the arrival of Omicron Squadron, whose pilots have been very welcomed in this ship, as it should be :)
We also had a few pilots arriving from other ships, like SL SAvageAz Mk.III and LT Ryne, and some pilots leaving for the reserves, like LT Krulos Helrond, COL Sephiroth, LT Wolf Blacker and Omicron’s Flight 2 Leader, COL Angel. Welcome to everyone who has arrived, and farewell to the ones leaving, hoping someday they will be able to return to the Challenge. If I forgot about anyone, I apologize...it’s been hard to follow everyone’s steps, since I’m not getting any e-mails from the Flight Office saying who is arriving and who is leaving (which is to be expected, since things must be burning in the Flight Office)...
Flight Officer, Logistics Officer and Training Officer are open for applications. If you are interested, contact SA Cyric, the XO...
Cyclone Squadron has a new Commander...congrats to COL Marcin Szydlowski. A lot is expected from Cyclone, and I’m sure Mike is the man to lead the squadron to the top once again.
And don’t forget, we have a competition running right now. Wing X Flying Competition – March/06 is running. All pilots are to fly TIE-TC 226 until the end of the month. Go fly!!!.
TC AWOL Cheklist is updated....check if the information concerning yourself is correct, and, if not, let me know...Don’t forget that GA Astatine is still running this AWOL Check, and, if you don’t reply, you will be removed from the roster.....oh, and that’s bad, really bad :)

Competitions
* Challenge Recruitment Competition
To last from February 1st through March 31st. A two-month long recruitment comp. The pilot who can recruit the largest number of new pilots into the Challenge (including new SL's or old retired vets) will win an IS-SR; IS-BR to the runner-up.
* Wing X Flying Competition – March/06
Wing X pilots are to fly TC-TIE 226 until the end of March. Best total laserless score will get an IS-SW, with runner up getting an IS-BW. Also, any pilot who manages to beat the WC score will also be awarded an IS-BW...go fly!!!
* Suits you Sir! ooh, suits you!
Due to construction problems within the Auroran shipyards, the COMMs personal Baudo Star Yacht will not be ready for several months. In the meantime, he will be forced to find an alternate means of travel... The aim of this comp is fiction. I want you to decide what vessel i should fly, and, in at least 200 words, persuade me. You may submit it in the form of a story, or a technical readout. Humour and innovation are appreciated - it can involve any vessel smaller than an ISD, so be creative. Submissions to comm@emperorshammer.org with the subject "Suits you, sir!". IS-GR and an IS-SR for best two submissions. MoCs for those i judge to be high quality submissions.
* TIE Corps Battlegroup Training Night:
The TCBG sponsored MP night. Show up in IRC channel #EHCOO on Saturdays at 6pm GMT (1pm EST) to win LoC's and DFC's
Dark Lord of the Week
The highly prestigious title of Dark Lord of the Week is only given to the person who has most advanced the success of the Wing, amused the Wing Commander, or slipped me the most $5 notes in a brown paper bag. This week's winner is:
Everyone who arrived in the best Wing ever!!!
Ewok of the Week
Yub Yub!
Every story has a hero, every journey has a first step, every Fleet has a pilot who's about as much use as an ashtray on a speeder bike. This weeks's Prize Ewok is none other than:
All the pilots who left Wing X to form a Ewok tribe in M/FRG Phoenix!!! Boooooh
Quote of the Week
Fink: “*wonders what he's still doing here now that Kate is an outlaw*”
DV: “Kate is deh Eviiiiiiil :P”
Fink: “Knew that much. :P You should see her in the morning. :P”

Omicron Squadron: received on 15th
Conclusion
The dust seems to be settling down a bit. In the next few weeks, things must be back to “normality”. It’s a relief, isn’t it? To help the Challenge to be back on its track, I’ve released the Flying competition. I want every Flight Member, Flight Leader and Squadron Commander with TIE flying capability to participate on this competition, and do their best at it. Also, I want every officer who doesn’t have a “replied” written by their names in the AWOL Checklist to report in telling if they have already replied to Astatines AWOL Check.....well, that’s it...good luck with flying, and have an excellent week :)
