Wing X Report #26
COL Daniel Bonini 8/28/2006
Wing X Weekly Report #26 – 28th of August 2006
Introduction
Heyas!
I just heard from SA Cyric, and I am very glad and proud to say that CPT Diaboli is now known as Major Diaboli!!!! Congratulations, Major...you really deserved this!!! I’d like to point out that achieving the rank of Major without being at least in a Squadron Commander position is a highly unlikely thing to happen, and this shows the greatness of Diaboli’s activities.
Well, it’s not all roses, and another week goes by without any notice of a new Cyclone Commander to be assigned. This upsets me... Hope we have news about this ASAP.
Meanwhile, Coranel and Talons seems to be still suffering from the “rage of Dalk” illness, and we have not heard from either of them this past week. This is very bad, because there are several issues I’d like to discuss with both of them, and worse....there’s nobody available to do my BSFs :) Of course, Dalk will be held responsible for this, and shall meet us in the brig for the ongoing party event :D
Before heading to the brig, Dalk managed to make deep changes in Inferno roster....meaning, he shuffled all pilots in his squadron and came up with this: http://www.ehtiecorps.org/rosters/view.asp?squadron=42
Commendations of Loyalty recommendations are on hold until Talons return, basically because I have to make the recommendations to him.

Competitions
* TIECorps Summer Patrol 2006
The new summer patrol is kicking off this coming monday, the 17th, and it will run for 8 consecutive weeks. Each week will have a set number of missions to fly and each will progress in difficulty.
To participate in this long Summer Patrol, all you need to do is submit the required missions (which are posted at the Sovereign forum), with the topic of "Summer Patrol Week 1 to AD Stele at tieknt@gmail.com. You will have until the end of Sunday to submit them. Those who survive the Summer Patrol of 8 weeks shall be rewarded the Iron Star-Gold Wings!
Visit the Sovereign forum thread at http://mb.emperorshammer.net/viewtopic.php?t=3646
Good luck and I hope to see you joining the Summer Patrol.

Next week of Summer Patrol Assignment – to be assigned
* Imperial Propoganda
A recent news post on the TC page (http://www.ehtiecorps.org/news.asp#3988 ) entitled Intelligence Report Procedures. It came across as "Do you want to spy on your friends, and get them in trouble for having fun? Do so today, and earn medals in the ID!" Well, your task, if you choose to accept it, is to make a mock-piece-of-propoganda. It's Intel, so shouldn't be too hard. Make a mock-news-post making fun of this, and earn a medal! Any submissions go to myself, but also cc Coranel so he can check whatever it is you are doing...IS-SR for the first place, and IS-BR for the second!!! Deadline is the end of this month!!
* COM’s Uniform Competition
Despite holding a "make me a uniform" competition as BGCOM just a few months ago, Coranel is once again in need of a new custom uniform, as he is now ChalCOM! So make him a new one! IS-SR to the winner and IS-BR to 2nd place! Runs until August 31st, or whenever Coranel get’s back...
* Ace of the Tie Corps
Starting this month, we now have a new monthly competition series - Ace of the TIE Corps. The concept is simple - the pilot with the most flown missions at the end of each month will recieve an Iron Star with Gold Wings and the title "Ace of the Month". You will be able to see the progress of pilots over time by checking the Pilot Kill Board. At the end of the year, the pilot with the most missions flown will recieve an Iron Star with Platinum Wings and the title of "Ace of the TIE Corps".
The competition is open to all members of the TIE Corps and the counts are based on missions. Thus a battle will earn you more points than a free mission. The June 2006 division of the competition will end on 30th June, so get flying. Good luck!
* Imperial Alliance Propoganda Festival
Submit content to help promote Imperial Alliance. This can include banners, slogans, etc. The best entry each week will get an IS-GR. The best entry overall will be selected when Imperial Alliance is released and will be awarded an IS-PR. Email entries to propoganda@ehtiecorps.org. Competition will run through January 30th, 2007.
* Quote of the Week competition
Got some funny IRC quotes? Send them in! Top 3 submissions per week earn an IS-BR; top 3 submissions per month earn an IS-SR; IS-PR to the yearly winner, IS-GR to second best yearly submission, and a IS-SR to the third best yearly submissions. Email the quotes to FA Joe (Noon001@aol.com). Only rules are they must have been said within the last 2 weeks (no old, archived quotes) and you can't send in quotes of things that you have said. Must be amusing things others have said. Competition will run through January 21st, 2007.
* Wing X Pilot of the Week/Month
Each week the Wing X Commander will choose a pilot he believes has performed better then any other pilot on the ship that week. At the end of the month, Challenge Commodore will look at the overall performance of every Pilot of the Week for that month, and will choose one of them to become the Pilot of the Month. Each Pilot of the Week will be awarded an IS-BR and each Pilot of the Month will be awarded an IS-SR. The Wing X Pilot of the week will always be chosen in the “Dark Lord of the Week” Section of this report.
Dark Lord of the Week
The highly prestigious title of Dark Lord of the Week is only given to the person who has most advanced the success of the Wing, amused the Wing Commander, or slipped me the most $5 notes in a brown paper bag. The Dark Lord of the Week is also the ISD Challenge’s Pilot of the Week, and so gets an IS-BR. This week's winner is:
LC Dirty Vader, for flying a lot!!!
Ewok of the Week
Yub Yub!
Every story has a hero, every journey has a first step, every Fleet has a pilot who's about as much use as an ashtray on a speeder bike. This weeks's Prize Ewok is none other than:
LT Oskar Holtz, for being Jabba disguised :)
Quote of the Week
Oskar: “Dan, mah bukee, keel-ee caleya ku ka. Wonkee chee sa crispa mah petje jawa?”
hehehehe

The ones written delayed means that the Commander has warned me that the squadron report would be delayed, so, the report was not released yet, but it’s expected to be released still. I just thought this would make it a little clearer.
Conclusion
Again, congratulations to Diaboli on a very well deserved promotion. There is still the matter of the Ace of the Tie Corps for July to be reviewed by GA Astatine, and I’ll be sure to remind him now and then to look into it. Great job, Diaboli!! And, people, keep up the flying activity...it’s really good to see people flying.....for those flying for Summer Patrol, don’t forget that the deadline for week 6 assignment is Tuesday, so, get to it, and expect the assignment for next week after that. Have a great week, people...I’ll be in my office should anything arise, like, say, a Jawa pirate attack on this ship :)
